Jimmy Chey is a South Korean film director and New York—based gaffer and lighting board operator. He is currently pursing a BFA in Film at the School of Visual Arts.

As a writer-director, his work explores intimacy, moral ambiguity, and quiet violence within the city. Set largely in New York, his films observe ordinary people in moments where small choices carry lasting consequences. His films include Us (2022), Dave (2022), Flu Game (2025), and, Rendezvous (2025).
